Breast Cancer
Cancer has always been a part of my life in some way. It is something that has been a part of my family for as long as I can remember. Cancer is something many of my family members have had, and also myself. I have always been curious in knowing just how someone develops cancer. Is it all genes? or is there more to it? Here is some research I have found out about genes with breast cancer.
What I learned from my research paper is that cancer doesn't come from just genes, so many things can trigger it. Taking care of yourself is very important and keeping track of your health.
- Cancer is a disease where cells grow abnormally, divide and then spread themselves at uncontrollable rate.
- Genes aren't really a huge part of developing cancer. There is only a five percent to ten percent chance genetic rate that comes into play from your actual parents.
- Cancer has a lot to do with your cells, cancer gets into the "healthy" cells and basically destroys them. It starts there, and if it isn't caught in time then the cancer can begin to multiple into more cells.
- Everyone is at a risk for cancer. You are at a higher risk if it runs in your family.
- There are many different types of genes that can control cell growth, different types of genes can trigger different things.
- It seems like doctors say just about anything can cause cancer. Food, stress, your diet, not enough exercise, and so on. Taking care of your body and your health is very important because cancer is not just genes, it can be causes by many different things.
- Surgery
- Chemotherapy
- Radiation therapy
- Hormonal Therapy
- Complementary and Holistic medicine
